"The Best There Was" was the subtitle on this portfolio of oversized (8x10) cards produced in 1993,
On the high-gloss card fronts, a wide black border surrounds the B&W photo, with a gold-foil pinstripe border between the two. The player's name appears in gold at the bottom.
Backs are printed in B&W and feature a large player portrait, complete major league stats and a career summary. A serial numbered certificate placing the copy within an edition of 25,000 was included with the set; a deluxe portfolio album to house the collection was available for $10.

Some of the premier photography of Charles Martin Conlon was computer enhanced and placed on these oversized (8x10) cards in a special edition of 25,000 copies.
High-gloss fronts feature the colorized photos separated by a thin white pinstripe from the dark blue background.
Backs are printed in Black and Blue on White and feature a career summary or other historical data, along with a description of the front photo. A serially numbered certificate of authenticity accompanied the set and could be redeemed along with $10 for a deluxe portfolio to house the collection.
