During the fall, winter and early spring of 1984-85, the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery displayed a sample of Charles Martin Conlon's incredible work in its exhibition of many of his photographs reprinted from the original glass negatives. This 64 piece postcard set was produced in two editions to coincide with this exhibit,

1. Marketcom/Baseball Americana "Baseball Immortals" Postcard Book Edition One (32 border-less postcards in a sepia toned pocketed folder)

2. Marketcom/Baseball Americana "Baseball Immortals" Postcard Book Edition Two (32 border-less postcards in a sepia toned pocketed folder)

These sets were produced in very limited numbers and are two of the harder-to-find Conlon sets, ESPECIALLY INTACT.

Please download the 1981-1988 checklist to find the players included in these sets.

ERRORS

Postcard Book Edition One

The photos for Colby Jack Coombs and Fred Clarke are mismatched on their cards with each other.
The postcard book was never corrected, but the Baseball Immortals cards were.
