Leading up to the production of another large format set
marking the 50th anniversary of the first All-Star game in 1933,
Marketcom, in cooperation with The Sporting News, issued this 5-card prototype set in standard (2 1/2" by 3 1/2") size.
The cards were produced in a sepia-tone with black & white backs and include a The Sporting News Conlon Collection logo and Marketcom copyright.
